Katherine Heigl reveals with the world about her "white bubble life" and how it has affected her parenting style for her adopted multiracial children. The "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in an interview recently that she was told that when it came to the color of her skin, she didn't care how she looked like, but after she spoke with her older sister whom she adoptive to South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of both. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd been treated one way when she was going out with us parents and in a different manner when she was out by herself without them. Meg said, 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed the whole thing!' Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I resulted in me feeling." She said that she was angry and felt that she needed to channel her anger on helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl, who has been with Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
